Each tear has a lesson....

I cried each time you didn't see how I tried,

I did my best but all you could see was my worst,

It hurt when you put them first and me last,

I was shattered when my opinions got dismissed and I was just a minion with no voice,

I wished things would go back to how they were but that's all it was - 'a wish',

Each hurt that pierced my heart felt like am drowning in misery over and over again,

The person who had my back now gave me their back, 

You were my rock but all that changed since they seemed to rock your world much better,

I looked up to you but now when I look up, I only see pain and regret,

Each blow only taught me 'how',

I vowed that each slap would upgrade to a clap,

No more tears or fears,

No more trusting and doubting,

It's all about me this time,

Now and all the time.
